Forest Hill Park, what is left of Rockefeller's summer estate
1936
East Cleveland, Ohio

John D. Rockefeller spent his summers on a wooded estate straddling the East Cleveland and Cleveland Heights line. In 1936 his son deeded 248 acres of it to the two cities as a public park, with Albert Davis Taylor laying out the grounds. Two thirds of the park sits in East Cleveland and the rest in Cleveland Heights, and it remains the largest stretch of green between the metroparks at either end of the county.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
