Fireboat No. 1, the only fire boat the port had for fifty years
1929
Tacoma, Washington
Steven Pavlov · CC BY-SA 3.0 · Wikimedia Commons
Tacoma launched this boat in 1929 and it was the single vessel guarding a waterfront of lumber mills, grain docks and oil piers for over fifty years. It was named a National Historic Landmark in 1980. It sits out of the water now on a permanent cradle at the Old Town waterfront.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
