Fifty-three women chartered the club in March 1917 and started raising money for a building the next year. Phoenix architect Henry C. Grote gave them a Spanish Colonial Revival clubhouse with a turret under red tile, finished in October 1931 for a builder's quote of $10,580. The club went inactive in 1990 and the building, listed on the National Register in 1991, is now an events venue called the Guild of the Vale.
