About twenty subdivisions were platted here between 1883 and 1907 and the streetcar filled them with bungalows, foursquares and late Victorian houses. Company owners, doctors and lawyers lived a few doors from craftsmen and railroad workers. The 340 acre district was listed on the National Register in 1990 and is one of the largest listings in the Southwest.
