Corinth is named by a railroad, then waits eighty years to become a town
1880
Corinth, Texas
The Dallas and Wichita Railway laid track through this spot in 1880 and gave the townsite a name borrowed from ancient Greece. It stayed a scattering of farms until 19 September 1960, when about four hundred residents petitioned the county judge and voted themselves into a city. Interstate 35E did the rest, and the population passed twenty two thousand by 2020.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
