Central Geneva, where the courthouse and a Frank Lloyd Wright house share a district
1979
Geneva, Illinois
The southern half of Geneva was drawn as a historic district in 1979 and enlarged in 2017, taking in 102 buildings of which 68 contribute. The Kane County Courthouse is inside it, which is the reason this town rather than a bigger neighbour runs the county's courts. So is the P. D. Hoyt House, a Frank Lloyd Wright design standing on an ordinary residential street.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
