Beth HaMedrosh Hagodol moves out to Monaco Parkway
1969
Denver, Colorado
The congregation started in 1892 in rented rooms above a shoe and boot store on Larimer Street and incorporated five years after that, growing into the largest modern Orthodox congregation in Denver. Denver architect Hans Kahn drew this building on Monaco Parkway, finished in 1969, as the Jewish population moved east out of the old downtown blocks. It merged with Beth Joseph, an Orthodox congregation incorporated in 1921, in 1996.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
