A one day festival of the nationality gardens strung along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and East Boulevard in Rockefeller Park, put on every summer since the 1940s by the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation. The day opens with a naturalization ceremony for new citizens, then a Parade of Flags sets off at noon, and each garden's community serves its own food, music and dance through the afternoon. It is free, runs 11am to 6pm and draws about 35,000 people. It falls on the last Sunday of August; the 2027 date has not been announced yet.

Glenville was founded as an independent village in 1870 and included the lakefront that broke away as Bratenahl before Cleveland annexed the rest in 1904.
Eight apartment buildings put up between 1900 and 1949 survive together on this stretch of Ansel Road in Hough, a neighbourhood that lost most of its building stock after 1966.
