The 264 foot tower went up in 1963 on the Lake Erie bluff where the automaker Alexander Winton had built his family house, and it took his name. On completion it was the tallest apartment building anywhere between New York City and Chicago. It cost about 20 million dollars and was designed by the Cleveland engineering firm Arthur G. McKee.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
