West Boulevard is built around a parkway meant to link Edgewater to Brookside

The thoroughfare the neighbourhood is named for was cut through at the turn of the century as one leg of a ring of parkways meant to string Cleveland's parks together, running north to Edgewater Park and south to Brookside. The southern half was never finished because an industrial complex sat in the way. Cleveland annexed most of the land from Linndale in 1903, and Hungarian, Czech and German families filled the streets that went up along it over the next twenty years.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
