Westchester County opened this 161 acre park in the Lincoln Park section of Yonkers in 1927, among the first it laid out under its new park commission. The name runs back through Tibbetts Brook to George Tibbetts, who settled the land in 1668. The county still limits the pool and the parking to residents of the county.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
