The Shops at Willow Bend was the last enclosed mall Texas ever built

Willow Bend opened in 2001 as an upscale enclosed mall, and no developer in Texas has finished another one since. It spent its whole life boxed in by Galleria Dallas to the south and Stonebriar and Legacy West to the north, and it never filled its floors. Demolition for a mixed use replacement called The Bend is now underway, which makes the building both the end of one retail era and a casualty of the next.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
