The Seventh-day Adventists put their world headquarters in Takoma Park
1904
Takoma Park, Maryland
The Seventh-day Adventist Church moved its world headquarters to Takoma Park in 1904 and built a college, a hospital and several churches around it, which is why the town still has an Adventist quarter. The denomination shifted the headquarters to Silver Spring in 1989. The college is Washington Adventist University now and still holds the campus.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
