The Rossborough Inn, older than the university built around it
1798
College Park, Maryland

Work started on this Federal style tavern in 1798 and finished in 1803, on the turnpike that carried traffic between Washington and Baltimore. The University of Maryland was not founded until 1856, so the inn is the oldest building on its campus and the oldest in College Park. The lower wings were added during a heavy renovation in 1938.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
