Catonsville, Maryland
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
A stone farmhouse built around 1825 above the Patapsco valley was reworked in 1917 into a Georgian Revival mansion designed by the Baltimore architect Edward L. Palmer Jr. The main block runs five bays and two and a half storeys over a high ground floor, under a gambrel roof of Vermont slate, with wings at either end. The house now stands on the Community College of Baltimore County campus.
