The President's House and the writers who took it over

Built in 1907 as the residence for the head of the Tempe Normal School, this is one of the few pieces of the original campus left standing. It was listed on the National Register in 1985. It now houses the Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing and is known on campus as the writer's house.
