The North Fork learns to make wine

A couple with a research paper and a hunch that the maritime climate of the North Fork matched Bordeaux planted vines in a potato field, to the amusement of the neighbours. It worked. There are now dozens of wineries out here where there were farms, and the potato land that could not compete with Idaho grows a crop that likes the fog and the long autumn.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
