The Necco wafer plant, once the largest candy factory in the world
1927

New England Confectionery opened its Moderne concrete plant at 250 Massachusetts Avenue in 1927, and no other factory on earth then gave that much floor space to candy alone. It pressed Necco wafers for decades and filled the surrounding blocks with the smell of sugar. Novartis leases the building now and runs drug research inside it.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
