The Lawrence Hall of Science, a memorial that writes school science lessons

The university put this concrete hall in the hills above campus as a memorial to Ernest Lawrence, its first Nobel laureate and the man who built the cyclotron further down the slope. Anshen and Allen designed it and it opened to the public in 1968. It is not only an exhibit hall with a view over the bay: the science and math programmes written here are published commercially and taught in classrooms around the country.
