The Fogg Library, one businessman's gift to South Weymouth
1897
Weymouth, Massachusetts
John Phelan · CC BY 3.0 · Wikimedia Commons
John S. Fogg paid for this stone library on Columbian Street in 1897 and the firm of Cutting, Carleton and Cutting gave it a steep gable with stepped Dutch ends and a round arched entry loggia. It still works as a branch of the Weymouth Public Library. The building went on the National Register in 1981.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
