The Cane Ridge revival
1801

Somewhere between ten and twenty thousand people camped in a field for a week of preaching, in a state whose largest town held under two thousand. Participants fell down, shook, barked and wept, several ministers preached at once from stumps and wagons, and the meeting set the pattern for the camp revival. The Second Great Awakening and the whole American evangelical style come substantially out of this field.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
