The log building went up around 1740 as a four room French Canadian house on Elm Street, and later passed to Jean Francois Saucier, whose father designed Fort de Chartres. After the Northwest Territory was organised it served as a frontier courthouse. It stands reconstructed today and is interpreted as it looked around 1800.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
