The Aviation Building, a hotel that was never once a hotel
3240 NW 27th Avenue, Miami-Dade County, Florida
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
It went up in 1927 on NW 27th Avenue, sixteen blocks east of the end of a Miami International runway, and people called it the Fritz Hotel. It was put to a long list of uses across five decades and not one of them was lodging. The building came down in the mid 1970s and something else went up in its place.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
