The airport erases Minters Chapel and leaves only the cemetery
1967
Minters Chapel, Tarrant County, Texas
The settlement grew up around a Methodist church founded about 1854 by Green Washington Minter, and it took his name. In 1967 the new Dallas Fort Worth regional airport bought the land out from under the community. The church building was moved, the farms went, and what the airport did not take was roughly an acre and a half of graveyard, which is still there on the western edge of the field.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
