Subaru Park puts a Major League Soccer stadium on the Chester waterfront

Delaware County put in thirty million dollars and the state another forty seven to drop a soccer specific stadium on the river beside the Commodore Barry Bridge, on ground that had been industrial waterfront. The Philadelphia Union have played here since 2010. It was pitched as the first move in a riverwalk and retail redevelopment that has largely not followed.
