The Home Depot Center opens as American soccer's second purpose-built stadium
2003

A 140 million dollar sports complex opened on the Cal State Dominguez Hills campus in June 2003, built around a 27,000 seat stadium for the LA Galaxy. It was only the second stadium in Major League Soccer built for soccer rather than borrowed from football, and in its first season it hosted the final of the 2003 Women's World Cup. The site also carries a tennis stadium, a track, and the VELO Sports Center, one of the few indoor velodromes in the country. It has since been renamed twice, to StubHub Center and then Dignity Health Sports Park.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
