Sportsman's Park, where two teams shared a lease
1902
Grand Boulevard at Dodier, St. Louis
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
The Browns owned it and the Cardinals rented it, so for thirty three years both St. Louis teams played their home games on the same grass. In 1944 they met each other in the World Series and every game was played here, which has never happened again. It was also the last park in the American League to desegregate its grandstand, holding out until that same year.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
