Scotts Bluff and the wagon ruts
1851
Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
An 800-foot bluff the trails had to squeeze past through Mitchell Pass, where wagon ruts are still worn into the sandstone. Some 250,000 people went by on the Oregon, California and Mormon trails within about twenty years.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
