Route 59, the busiest outlying station on Metra
1989
Naperville, Illinois

Metra opened this stop on the BNSF line on 16 July 1989 and named it for the road rather than for a town, because it sits exactly on the Aurora and Naperville boundary and neither city would have been right. The subdivisions that filled in around it turned a field halt into the busiest of Metra's 236 outlying stations, averaging about 3,260 boardings on a weekday, served by 67 trains a day.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
