Riverview-Fisk Park and the view from the Palisades
1901
Ogden Avenue, The Heights, Jersey City, New Jersey
The park was laid out by John Withers and Addison Hastings and dedicated in 1901, on the lip of the Palisades a hundred feet above the Hudson. A bronze bust of Henry Hudson by Anton Schaaf was unveiled here in October 1917, and a monument to the neighbourhood's Great War dead stands at the northwest corner. It is still the best free view of the Manhattan skyline in New Jersey.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
