Wingspread, the last of the Prairie houses

Frank Lloyd Wright built this for Herbert Fisk Johnson Jr., the man who commissioned the Johnson Wax building a few miles south: fourteen thousand square feet in four wings radiating from a central chimney, and by Wright's own account the last house he ever designed in his Prairie style. It is among the largest he did. The famous exchange about the roof leaking on the owner's head during a dinner party (telephone Wright, get told to move the chair) is attached to this house, and is probably true of several.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
