The campus opened in 1972 on the old Jackson farm, 155 acres with a lake in the middle of it. In 2005 it became the first community college in the country to take the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, a federal performance prize that until then had gone almost entirely to manufacturers, hospitals and large firms. Around 20,000 students attend, making it the biggest campus in the Dallas College system.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
