Luke and Kate McRedmond, both born in Ireland, homesteaded eighty acres here in 1871 and the town took his name. The ground later became the municipal golf course, and when that closed an open air shopping and office development went up on it in 1997 with sixty four shops. Microsoft and AT&T took the office space. Archaeologists working nearby announced in 2015 that they had found stone tools more than ten thousand years old.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
