Puffy, an 1896 steam engine, still runs from Grapevine to the Stockyards

The city runs excursion trains out of the restored 1888 Cotton Belt depot on Main Street, over 21 miles of old Cotton Belt track into the Fort Worth Stockyards. The engine that pulls them is Puffy, a 4-6-0 built at the Cooke works in Paterson, New Jersey in 1896 and billed as the oldest continuously operating steam locomotive in the South. Grapevine bought the locomotive and the route in 2000 from the operators of the Tarantula Train.
