The Rouse Company opened this enclosed mall on Germantown Pike in 1966, the third fully enclosed one in the Philadelphia region. It was also among the first anywhere in North America to lease space inside to a church, alongside the shops. It runs to about 948,000 square feet and has kept a fountain and a carousel through several rounds of rebuilding.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
