Plano Senior High School takes only the city's juniors and seniors

Plano grew fast enough that its school district stopped running four year high schools and split them in two, so ninth and tenth graders go to campuses like Clark and Vines and everyone finishes here. The school dates to 1891, when Plano Public School held every grade in one building and was already sending most of its graduating class on to college by the mid 1910s. It has been named a National Blue Ribbon School twice.
