O'Leno, where the river goes underground

The Santa Fe River pours into a sink here, runs three miles underground, and comes back up at River Rise as if nothing happened. Early settlers could only stand at the edge and wonder. The vanished mill town on the bank was called Leno, and when it died the name wore down to O'Leno, as in Old Leno. The Civilian Conservation Corps built the park around the disappearing river in the 1930s, suspension bridge included.
