Balmorhea, a spring-fed pool the CCC built

The Civilian Conservation Corps built a 1.3-acre pool around San Solomon Springs, fed by 15 million gallons a day at a constant 74 degrees. It has a natural bottom and holds two endangered pupfish species, so people scuba dive in a swimming pool in the desert.
