Built around the farmhouse Nixon's father assembled from a kit on the lemon ranch where the president was born in 1913. It opened in 1990 as a private museum because federal law had seized Nixon's White House papers after Watergate, and only in 2007 did the National Archives take the place over and bring the records to Yorba Linda. Nixon and Pat are buried a few steps from the house, and the Sea King helicopter that lifted him off the South Lawn in 1974 is parked on the lawn.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
