Mid-Way Regional Airport has a runway split down the middle by a city limit
1992

Waxahachie and Midlothian could not each get a federal grant for an airport, so in 1992 they built one together on the line between them and own it jointly. The city boundary runs across the runway. They renamed it Mid-Way in 2000 for exactly that reason, and extended the strip to 6,500 feet in 2011 so business jets could use it. Based aircraft went from nineteen in 1998 to more than eighty.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
