Medical City Plano opens with 66 beds and grows to 603
1975
Plano, Texas
It opened in 1975 as Plano General Hospital with 66 beds, a few years after a census that counted fewer than eighteen thousand people in the entire city. It carries 603 beds now, the most of any hospital in Collin County, and in 2017 it became the county's first Level I trauma centre. HCA Healthcare has owned and run it through most of that growth.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
