La Porte High School spells its yearbook backwards
1915
La Porte, Texas
La Porte formed its school district in 1915 and put up a three storey red brick building that took in students bused from Lomax and Morgan's Point. In 1917 the student body settled on orange and white, chose the bulldog, and produced a single yearbook titled Etropal, which is La Porte written backwards. The district bought 44.8 acres on what is now Fairmont Parkway in 1959 and moved the high school out to it. It still takes in La Porte, Morgan's Point and the streets that were Shoreacres.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
