Kodak and the snapshot
1888
Rochester, New York
George Eastman sold a camera preloaded with a hundred exposures under the slogan that you press the button and he does the rest, you posted the whole camera back and got prints and a reloaded camera in return. Photography stopped being a craft and became a habit. At its height Kodak employed 60,000 people here.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
