1966

The park between Marietta and Kennesaw is known for the 1864 fighting, but the ground it froze in place also holds trees. Part of the tract is old growth forest recognised by the Old-Growth Forest Network, which is unusual this close to a city this size. The mountain's name comes from a Cherokee word rendered Gah-nee-sah, meaning burial ground. The area was designated a historic district on 15 October 1966.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
