Jones Point Light, the river lighthouse at the corner of the District
1855
Alexandria, Virginia
APK · CC BY-SA 4.0 · Wikimedia Commons
A small clapboard lighthouse built in 1855 on a point of land in the Potomac, with the keeper's family living in the house under the lamp. The same point carries the south cornerstone of the original ten mile square of the District of Columbia, set in 1791 and now sitting in the seawall below the lighthouse. Both are under the Woodrow Wilson Bridge.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
