Imploding the Strip
Las Vegas, Nevada
Larry D. Moore · CC BY 4.0 · Wikimedia Commons
The Dunes was blown up in front of a crowd and a fireworks display, and demolition became a public spectacle in its own right. The Strip has since knocked down almost everything it built, which is why a city obsessed with its own past has so little of it standing. The Bellagio that rose on the Dunes' site carries the fountains Ocean's Eleven ends on, the crew watching them fall to Clair de Lune.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
