Hillside Village opens as an outdoor mall shaped like a town square
2008
Cedar Hill, Texas
Southern Dallas County had one enclosed mall and very little else in the way of a shopping district, so in 2008 Cedar Hill got a 615,000 square foot open air complex laid out to imitate a Texas town square, opened as Uptown Village. It sits where Farm to Market 1382 crosses US 67. Together with the RedBird mall in Dallas it is one of only two major retail districts in this half of the county.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
