Harvard Stadium, the first big concrete stadium in America
1903

Opened in 1903 across the river in Allston, this was the first large structure in the country built of reinforced concrete and the oldest stadium still hosting college football. Its horseshoe was poured to fixed dimensions, so when football's death toll forced a rules rewrite in 1906, Harvard would not widen the field to open the game up. The committee legalised the forward pass instead.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
