Carl Wickman, a Swedish immigrant miner who had been laid off, failed to sell a seven-seat Hupmobile and started hauling miners the two miles from Hibbing to Alice for fifteen cents instead. He and a partner cleared enough in the first year to buy another car. It became the largest intercity bus network in the world, and the museum is on the site.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
