Gilbert Public Schools opened the town's first high school in 1918, when Gilbert was a rail siding that shipped baled alfalfa out of the Salt River Valley. It is still the oldest public high school in the town, and it graduated its hundredth class in 2017. By the 2018 school year it enrolled just over two thousand students.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
